-We really haven't been up to much lately. We didn't travel this weekend though, so HURRAY for us!
-Allergy season is in full swing and we are both gulping down the Zyrtec like it is the sweet nectar of life...
-Charly has long enough hair to finally "style" it!
--I broke the television amidst my cleaning rampage...
-I spray painted our side table because it was ugly and needed some help since I stole it from my dad six years ago...
-Pocatello has some freaky bugs here, no doubt!
So, yes...I broke our TV we won 3 years ago when I was an RA at Western. Ben had to drink a full 16 oz of Syrup the fastest to win that sweet puppy and I broke it on Wednesday. WOOOPS! It is a mammoth of a TV by 2009 standards:D I decided on Wednesday the home needed rearranged because I was so sick of all the hairy mammoth spiders kickin-it in mi hacienda...no mas peeps...NO MAS!
I was doing good...until I set the huge arse TV on the couch...heavy side in of course. Well, she sure did fall off. That old familiar feeling set in when I broke something when I was still living at home. Thankfully, Ben has AMAZING control over his temper (that trait waved bye-bye to me long ago!!!) and said maybe it was a blessing....yeah, ok, sure, whatever...I JUST BROKE OUR TV! My lifeline to good laughs and shutting my brain down ....BOOO!
Then I got to thinking...he really is right. I have been so much more productive these last couple of days without sitting down here and there to watch a quick something. Ben actually studied the last couple of nights.
So now, I pose a question...do we save and buy another one? I am thinking heaven's yes, but seeing how much gets done without one...maybe not?
OH HOW I AM TORN!!! I bet we last a month without a TV and we break down and buy another one:D
SO I am loving doing charly's hair. She is so stinking beautiful! I love it!

Ahhhh... dilemma's huh! Don't get another one!:) I wish ours would get broken, then there wouldn't even be the temptation to turn it on. I know we do so much better when we never watch it. The kids are TONS happier, less fighting, I get more done. We actually spend more quality time together as a couple. But it is nice to sit down sometimes and totally veg and relax. The problem is I can never seem to limit it to that "one" time, before we know it we are watching it regularly again! Tough decision!
Also I just wanted to thank you guys for your thoughts and prayers. It's been a crazy week but we are doing so much better.Sometime here I'll have the energy to write up a blog post and update everyone. :)
Don't get another one. We haven't had a TV for about a year and before that we had the TV but with only local channels. You can waste so much time watching that thing. So without one, you may be like us and waste time on the internet instead, ahhhh! Plus I have heard from many people that your kids will see you watching TV and then that's what they want to do instead of go outside or something. Phew, I feel better. Do what you want but Matt and I really enjoy not haveing one, plus we talk to each other more. Good luck!
I say yes, but maybe just a small one, then you won't want to watch to much... And I will stand by THIS until i go to my grave (because fighting with my husband about it MIGHT kill me) I REFUSE to have more than one TV in my house... I don't think you nee more than that! You have it in the bedroom, it takes away from precious time from your wonderful husband and if you have TV's in every room, your kids become zombies.. :) Love you! and Charly's hair is adorable!
I vote yes-buy a new one. My reasoning...WELL josh and I went without TV for about 3-4 months while still living in Laramie. AT FIRST we really did get a lot more done, but after that we turned into big blobs wasting time doing something else. TV IS ENTERTAINING....its OK to turn off your brain every once in a while. MY OPINION ONLY THOUGH...I like tv, thats all.
The logical and probably right thing to do is to not get a new TV, but you're asking the wrong person. I have many TVs ( I wont tell you how many because I'll be embarrassed) but I agree with the last comment. its nice to turn your brain off after the kids go to bed.
just say no. I get fat and lazy when I watch TV cause I can't tell myself to stop. If you decide to get a TV don't get cable or dish.. we have ours only for movies. best way to go
You're a Bennett and so am I, so my guess is that since I can't live without the "boob tube" you can't either. Why deprive yourself of one of life's guilty pleasures. We can't eat sweets or drink caffeine, or watch rated R's blah blah blah, now your telling me no more T.V.!!! What's this world coming to. Who will I have to snicker about "Ghost Adventures" to eh?
